The presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for Saturday, 16 January 2027. The governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections follow on Saturday, 6 February 2027.
Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) is ongoing from April 2026 to January 2027. You can pre-register online at inecnigeria.org or visit any INEC office with a valid ID and proof of age and residency.
Visit voters.inecnigeria.org and enter your Voter Identification Number (VIN) or full name to find your assigned polling unit and confirm your registration status.
You must present your Permanent Voter Card (PVC) to vote. Your PVC is issued by INEC after successful registration and verification. Expired PVCs are still valid โ only the current one registered to you can be used.
Incumbent President Bola Tinubu (APC) has indicated he will seek re-election. The opposition includes a coalition forming around the ADC platform, with former VP Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and others involved in discussions. Official candidates will be confirmed after party primaries in May 2026.
